Hosted at the world-renown Kentucky Horse Park…

The Burn is a three-day, fully-supported bicycle tour of the bourbon distilleries and Thoroughbred horse farms of Kentucky. Explore quiet country roads and quaint communities en route to world-famous bourbon distilleries nestled amongst the rolling bluegrass hills. Join our friends from all 50 states (plus Canada & Europe!) as we “cheers” to another round of riding bikes and drinking bourbon in our great home state of Kentucky.

Had an incredible time. What else can one ask for - good riding, friends, bourbon, horses, picturesque landscapes. Second year riding and planning on making this an annual tradition!

Here’s a sample of what you’ll experience…

And our team is so glad you are here!

Over the last 17 years I have participated in many rides and without exception, this is the very best. Beauty, fun, great campsite, bourbon, amazing routes and roads surfaces & low traffic are a just a few of the things that make this a fantastic ride.

You're Fully-Supported with Us.

Snacks & Water

Whether you are biking the medium option on Friday, the long option on Saturday or the short option on Sunday, we offer the support you need to stay hydrated and comfortable for each day's ride. Bourbon Burn support stops will be located every 15-20 miles apart, stocked with water, Gatorade and tasty snacks to refuel for your day's adventure.

Gear Support

When you ride, things happen, and sometimes your basic bike tool doesn't do the trick. That's why we have numerous support vehicles that will be out patrolling the routes. These SAG vehicles are able to be on site in a matter of minutes to help with any bike issue. These vehicles have the capability to carry bikes and riders. Don’t worry — we’ve got you covered.

Emergency Support

A first aid tent will be on site at Bourbon Base Camp to assist with any medical emergencies. First aid services will be available throughout the duration of the ride and we will work closely with local first responders who have the ability to be at any location on our daily courses within minutes. We have taken every precaution to keep our riders safe, and will also have licensed nurses on staff daily to assist, should any incidents arise.

What are my route options?

What are my route and registration options?

Perhaps you are new to biking and bourbon and need to acquire the miles like you acquire the taste —or—maybe you’re a seasoned rider who likes to have proof they've pedaled the long-haul?  Not a problem — you choose your adventure.

Your experience matters most to us, which is why we are always working on partnering with more distilleries --  both on the routes and in Bourbon Base Camp -- and we will be sharing with you our official 2024 distillery lineup as information becomes available.

Please note, not every route distance option is able to reach an on-route distilleries. (We’ve asked them to move, but they just won’t budge!) But that shouldn’t stop you from visiting. Many of our riders opt for a shorter ride, which leaves ample time to grab a shower and a bite of lunch before hopping in the car to visit many of the distilleries throughout the region.

2 & 3-Day Ride Option Available.

20 - 100 mile days. Your choice.

Extremely picturesque routes! Highlights what I’ve always bragged about my home state. Such a pleasure to return to Kentucky and enjoy that aspect of my youth.
