Riding to Distilleries.
Where will we go?
Well, that’s up to you! And you have options.
Spend the day riding along the scenic backroads of Kentucky, en route to world-famous bourbon distilleries. When you arrive, take in the beautiful scenery and rich culture of Bourbon Country®. Three days or two days? Short, Medium, Long or Century route? Each option presents different opportunities, and you’ll find that we’ve created a little something for everyone. Daily distance options range from approximately 20-100 miles.
Please note that some distilleries are only accessible by Long and/or Century routes. (We’ve asked them to move, but they just won’t budge!). Also, not all distilleries may appear on the official Bourbon Burn routes in 2024.
Just as every bourbon has its own unique, complex flavor profile, each distillery has its own unique set of COVID era policies and procedures. As guests of these various hospitable distilleries, The Burn and Burn participants must abide by each distillery’s policies while visiting. The involvement of each distillery is dependent upon its own discretion and The Burn cannot guarantee the participation of any specific distilleries at this time.
Previous On-Route Distillery Partners include: Four Roses, Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Town Branch, Bluegrass Distillers, Hartfield & Co., Castle & Key, Glenn’s Creek, Three Boys Farm Distillery & Bourbon 30.
*Please note that the number of distilleries visited depends on the route distance that you choose. Some short route options do not visit a distillery.*
Bourbon Bottle Sherpa Service
Undoubtedly you might want to purchase something from a distillery. Of course, it’s tough to carry a case of whiskey on your bike. So, to accommodate your purchases, we offer an exclusive Bottle Sherpa Service at no extra charge, which ensures your bottle purchases make it safely back to Bourbon Base Camp.
Bourbon Sampling
No drinking and biking is allowed on the course. However, each evening after the day's ride, bourbon samples will be served back at Bourbon Base Camp for you to enjoy. The samples sipped in the evening will be representative of the distilleries visited that day by bike. Cocktails, beer, and wine will also be available for purchase.
